Photographic Memory : Keeping the Memories of Your Ba’s First Year

Babies grow up so quickly, and you won’t ever have the ability to go back and re-live all those precious memories. That is why it’s so important to do everything you can to preserve the memories of your little baby’s first year. Or even if a relative of yours given birth recently, you can amaze them when the baby has their first birthday by giving them a collection of picture memories. Develop a Scrapbook

Scrapbooking is becoming an increasingly well-known way to document memories. You can save pictures, small mementos, and your own thoughts about your baby’s first year in a scrapbook. If you don’t want to cut up original images, you can just print off spare copies of them if they are digital, or just scan them. Add plenty of details, including journal entries, baby cards you received, and other pieces of memorabilia. If you absolutely adore one of the pages you make, you can simply take it out of your scrapbook and put it in a picture frame on a wall.

A Calendar of Your Baby’s Very First Year

There are instances that special memories and events get forgotten because they go by so fast. You will be more likely to record things if you use a calendar instead of a journal or a scrapbook for “spur of the moment” events. You may use a calendar specially designed to document baby’s first year. Or you can even create your own using a big wall calendar that has lots of space for writing notes down. And then you will be prepared to write any unique events on your calendar, such as the first time your little baby rolls over or the first time they smile. You can always go back and detail more about these events in a journal or a scrapbook when you have got time, but documenting the event accurately is an important part of the process.

Produce a Memory Wall

Devoting a whole wall to pictures of your child can be very enjoyable. Whether you make a large collage of pictures to display in a picture frame, or you frame numerous smaller pictures, you will enjoy the memories every time you walk past. Actually, a photo wall often becomes a family tradition, having new photos swapped out for the older ones on a regular basis. This can be a great way to fully enjoy your beloved family photographs.

Memories in a Digital Format

If you are great with computers, maybe you should make a digital scrapbook or perhaps a photo presentation that is completely digital. You can download some software which will allow you to import photos and digital clips from your favorite movies, and even include music and special effects to make a movie which you can put onto a DVD. This can often be a great way to keep baby memories, and can also be a considerate gift for grandparents and relatives that live far away. Digital picture compilations often turn out extremely well, and can become a treasured memento of your baby’s first year.
