Working crossword puzzles in the daily paper is a good memory improvement game that will give you a good mental workout. And while you’re at it read the paper the paper, because reading is a great mental exercise in itself. And while reading practice understanding what’s being said. To fully concentrate on what you’re reading read out loud slowly, and repeat it back to yourself later before moving to the next line.
You can create memory exercises while you’re working. A good game to improve memory if you work with other people is to assign a number to each person and practice recalling each person’s number later. Use three-digit numbers to make it a little more difficult. As you go to work and back to home try a different set of streets or roads and then recall the names of each later.
Doing new activities can present a healthy challenge to your mental stamina. Taking on a foreign language requires concentration and memorization, as does learning to play an instrument. Tap into your creative faculties by writing poetry or songs. Release your imagination. Don’t wait to be inspired. Make up your mind to be creative and come up with something.

Games that improve memory are fun and helpful in passing the time when you’re in a waiting situation such as waiting to see the doctor or dentist.
