Article by Charles Henry

Mental photography? Ever heard of it? Let us start by knowing what it is about. In the year 1975, Richard Welsh, decided to buy a speed reading company and the rest is history. Many developments and techniques were made at that time which we are using until today. Mental photography is a different way in learning things. It develops the ability of a human for photographic memory. The connection it has with speed reading is the fact that we are born with a photographic memory but when we grew up and have learned to read, we lost that ability. Photographic Memory : Plan Your Budget for Family Portrait Los Angeles

Article by Ibiza Hotel Services

Family portrait can be described much over a photograph. Memory is a custom for relatives to keep for a long time. Plenty of people are reluctant to pay money for the shoot of the relatives because the picture is more a luxury than a necessity. Hiring the right photographer is not simple, because not every photographer has a capacity to capture the essence of the relatives photograph.

It is best to plan your budget and decide what type of portrait you require. Your budget will most likely decide the type of photograph quality. Most nice photographer has a studio or a studio. In a study session, a nice portrait photographer must have the ability to manipulate the illumination. There’s plenty of different types of lighting and that ought to let your photographer knows exactly what kind of feelings that are trying to accomplish, and the photographer will work on the light settings accordingly.

Another alternative is to shoot in the place. There are plenty of great places in Los Angeles to shoot. For example, the metro link from downtown Los Angeles you can generate a grungy and edgy modern look. Beach scene more traditional can be fired in Laguna Beach in Orange County. Another nice place is no great public park that has plenty of green trees.

So the query is what to wear for that day? Everyone who is out in the photograph ought to wear something that makes sense. Try to stay away from pure black and white or grey. All clothing must not overlap, but it would help your relative

Photographic Memory : Photo Printing: Why Most People Likes Photography

Article by Walter Hart

Photo printing is the process of printing photographs that were taken. Photographs are made when the light touches the surface of films that are sensitive with light. Today, films are not commonly used since the digital camera has already been invented. This process of making photographs is called photography. It has already been considered as an art. People also consider photography as a science of creating pictures.

Photos are important in the lives of people. Anybody could imagine the disaster that could happen if photography was never invented. There are so many things that a person could do with the photographs that he has. A person’s usual motive for taking a photograph would be to preserve a special moment in his life. A person who is celebration a birthday or who has just graduated might find it necessary to capture this moments so that in the future, he could remember them by looking at the photos. Preservation of moments is the best use of photographs. Because of it, a person can know how he looked like when he was a baby. He would also remember the faces of the ones which have passed away. By looking at photographs, memories would be rekindled once more. In the past, what they did to preserve the moments is to paint them. Different occasions such as wars, weddings and coronation are often preserved in the paintings. However, painting takes a lot of time and a lot of skill. Anybody could draw something but only few people can put the likeness of the subject into the canvass. It is a good thing that photography is invented. If a person wants to have a portrait of himself, he does not need to hire a painter and smile all day just to have a painting of himself. All he needs is a camera, and he could have a portrait of himself in just a few seconds.

Since photography is now an art, people have used it for businesses. A lot of good photographers sell their pictures for a very high price. These pictures are used as cover for books and magazines. They are also used as decorations in the house. The subject of photography could be anything that is under the sun. With the help of modern telescopes, a lot of photographs of the outer galaxies have been available. The most common subject of a photograph would be a person or a group of persons. Humans love to admire themselves. That is why there are a lot of photographs that have human subjects in it. If one piles up all the photographs that were taken, he would probably find out that the majority of the photos have humans in it.

With the invention of modern technology, people can print the photographs that he has taken with his digital camera. He can also print any picture that he got from the internet. People love to take beautiful pictures. With photo printing, a person can enjoy the beauty of photography.

You can get printers that are great at photo printing anywhere today. With printers capable of photo book anything from black and white to colored and more, there is no photo that are in your files that you cannot print out and treasure in albums and picture frames.

Can I Get a Photographic Memory? : Photographic Memory

Article by Timothy Romano

You’ve heard the stories about people who are able to read a piece of text just once, and remember all of it perfectly. Are those people born with special abilities, or can anyone get a photographic memory by taking specialized courses and training? There is no evidence that such a phenomenon even exists, and most psychology experts agree that it is a myth. There is certainly no doubt that some people have extraordinary abilities to memorize information, but the term “photographic memory” in the true sense of the word may just be impossible.

There is a term known as eidetic memory, which is the closest thing to photographic that researchers have been able to agree actually exists. People with eidetic memories are able to view an image, then recall vivid details about that image when it is taken away. The person’s memory of the image is quite impressive and extraordinary, but the problem lies with the fact that it fades over a short amount of time. This ability seems to be more common with children, and often is lost or degraded as years go by.

So, now that we know it’s not realistic to try to train to get a photographic memory, we can set goals that we are able to attain. The truth is that anyone can improve their memory, and even to quite remarkable levels. There is no magic formula to attaining the goal of improving your memory, but by taking a few specific steps, you can be well on your way to a more powerful mind.

One of the first things you must realize is that there are barriers to your memory in the form of distractions, such as noise and stress. Making an effort to eliminate or reduce these distractions can have a profound effect on your ability to remember important information. Learning a mind calming technique such as yoga or meditation is a highly effective way to start overcoming these roadblocks.

Another recommendation for individuals who wish to improve their memory is to give the brain the proper amount of exercise. Just like the rest of the human body, the brain needs to be exercised to remain in top working order. A great way to go about this is by keeping the brain active with games, activities, and hobbies. You can try learning a foreign language, which is actually one of the most effective ways to give the brain a work out. It’s something that anyone can do, and only 30-45 minutes per day of study is needed to see great results.

Crossword puzzles, Sudoku, and Scrabble are all fun activities you can try that will be beneficial to the brain. Try to talk a friend or relative into playing chess or checkers with you. The strategy involved in these types of games require use of regions of the brain that aren’t regularly tasked by many individuals. Additionally, it’s a fun way to interact with other people, which has been proven to reduce stress, and increase overall happiness and personal satisfaction.

These are just a few basic actions that anyone can take to improve the power of their memory, but they are easy to try, and results are soon to follow. Although most people can’t train themselves to get a photographic memory, they can certainly train their brain to improve memory power.

Photographic Memory : Is Photo Reading Really Speed Reading?

Article by Greg Bareham

Most people have heard about speed reading, and many of us may have even taken a speed reading courses of some type in the past. Developing these types of reading skills can help you to take in more knowledge and to retain more information than the average reader. There are some ways, however, for you to improve on this scale and to even go beyond speed reading to a large extent. This is a process that is known as photo reading, and you might be surprised with exactly how much information you are able to take in when using this method.

All of us have an ingrained ability within us, although it tends to be locked away within the mind to a large extent. It is the use of photographic memory, where we are able to bring back to the mind anything that may have happened in the recent or even distant past. This is the basis behind photo reading, tapping into that photographic memory so that we are able to, not only taken more information at one time but to be able to lock it all away so that we can recall it at any time that we like.

While an individual that knows how to speed read may be able to reach 2000 words per minute, if they continue to work on it for quite some time, an individual who understands photo reading is able to take in 25,000 words per minute at a bare minimum. As a matter of fact, people that are able to tap into this successfully can put away volumes of information in their spare time. At 25,000 words per minute or more, it would not take you very long to accrue quite a bit of knowledge.

Another benefit of these types of reading skills goes far beyond the ability of brain training so that you can take in more words at one time. It is unlocking the mind so that you are able to recall that information and to use it at any time that you like. Learning how to use the photographic memory that is built into all of us takes us far beyond any simplistic speed reading course that just helps us to take in more words. You’ll probably find that as you learn to use this method, you will not only improving your knowledge but you will be improving your ability to think laterally and to use that knowledge in different ways.

Photographic Memory : If I Can, You Can! – Attract Much More in 2007

Article by Tracy Woolley

It’s been a little over 17 months since I decided to change my life completely and work full time at my passion of photography. In that time I have attracted many more wonderful things into my life than I ever thought possible.

I have won awards for my photography nationally and internationally and my ‘online’ photographic business, Nautilus Gallery is growing everyday. I also started another ‘online’ business called Inspire Your Day in October 2006 which is also going extremely well. I have successfully brought an International Peak Performance and Success Coach, Kurek Ashley, for an event to the Sunshine Coast and in May 2007, I am bringing world renowned Dr John DeMartini to the Sunshine Coast, for a new world first seminar program.

I have accomplished all of this not from years of study, hard work or with a bucket load of money.

What I did to Attract Much More into my Life was:

1. DECIDE – There have been many times in my life where I was tested to breaking point. It was at those points where once I decided that I wasn’t going to put up with whatever was going on, or that whatever I was doing had run its course, I changed my life. I DECIDED and there was no going back.

Studying a 13 week Introduction to Photography course through an Australian University was one of those decisions. It wasn’t even the main course I was interested in at the time but the elective unit in the Undergraduate Course I started. I decided it would be a bit of fun as I quite liked photography. Little did I know the impact it would have!I loved the course and was awarded a High Distinction. I decided half way through it that I had found my ‘Life’s Purpose’. I would photograph the beautiful area where I live on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland, Australia and gradually expand to the whole of the Queensland coast and then beyond to Australia and then the world. I didn’t know how I would do it. I just would. And it seemed that once I decided and knew what I wanted, doors just started to open for me, where before there hadn’t even been a door!

2. CREATE A PLAN – Once I decided what I wanted to do, I wrote it down on paper. I have always had a journal, which has helped me sort out and plan lots of events, emotions and issues in my life. I have a photographic memory and keep too much in my mind at times, so when I need to clear my mind I write it all down.Once I had found my new ‘Life’s Purpose’ I had so many ideas and thoughts that I wrote them all down. I also thought of where I wanted to end up with my photography so wrote that down and worked backwards from there. I made a plan.

3. ASK FOR HELP – The next thing I did was ask for help. I asked my tutor from my Photography course if he would recommend any courses to continue my learning. I went to Photographic shops and asked the opinions of the camera experts about which cameras were the best. I subscribed to all of the Photographic magazines and read through their articles. I searched the internet for articles on ‘How To’s’ and I learnt more. I set up a website by more research, finding a Web Hosting company that included a free website building package in the price of hosting. I asked for lots of help getting that up and running! I joined all the Photographic Associations that suited my style of photography and linked my website with Photographic Directories all over the world. I bought lots of books (and read them!) on marketing yourself and business setup and sent of lots of emails with questions. What I found with all of the asking for help was that most people were more than happy to give their assistance for free. Something that I now do for people who ask for my help.

4. DO IT – It’s now time to get yourself known. This was one of the most exciting and frightening things for me. I had all of the theory, had everything ready and it was time to sell my work and myself. I believe that it’s not just the photography that I am selling it’s also the person behind the camera. People want to know who the person is and what made them pick up a camera. They also want to know how they can take the photographs and what makes them get up at 4 am in the dark and go and take photographs of the sunrise day after day.

So I sent photographs and a brief story about myself to the local Newspapers, Tourism Agencies, businesses and anyone else I could think of. They all liked my photographs and started to contact me for interviews. I listed my photographs for sale on Ebay which was a great start and wonderful promotional tool. I went to business network meetings in my area and donated raffle prizes of my photographs. My work started to sell.

5. GET A LIFE SUCCESS COACH – Around 3 months after I started my ‘online’ Photographic business I had the opportunity to attend a free seminar by International Peak Performance & Success Coach, Kurek Ashley. Another door was opening! I had always mistrusted ‘Success Coaches’ as I had heard a few stories about people paying out huge amounts of money for little in return. However, I decided again that I had nothing to lose so would hear what he had to say. It was amazing! At the end of the 3 hours I was more excited about my future than I had been even when I had found my ‘Life’s Purpose’ previously. My partner and I, along with 5 of our collective 7 children went to one of his 2 day seminars. Kurek’s teaching methods were incredible and we went away with ‘real’ actions to do each day. We also subscribed to his ‘Life Success Club’ which we paid a fair amount for each month, receiving a CD with a mini seminar and actions to do each day for that month as well as special events to attend exclusively for Members. Those actions applied to my business kept me focused and motivated and have been instrumental in my success.

6. HAVE YOUR PEERS GIVE YOU FEEDBACK – One of the important things for me to do was to have other Photographers view my work and give their critique. I have always been particularly admiring of Panoramic Landscape Photographers, Steve Parish, Ken Duncan and Peter Lik, so to have any of them view my work was a great honour. As well, the associations of Professional Photography in both Queensland and Australia and the International Association of Panoramic Photographers are of the highest calibre and have worldwide reputations. So I entered my photographs into competitions where I would get my photographs exposed to the world. My first foray into the competition arena was exciting and I received a high mark although not an award. I actually didn’t understand the rules properly at the time but soon learnt for the next competition! The next competition was the Australian Professional Photographers Awards where I won an award. The next was a worldwide award where I won an Honourable Mention and it kept going. I next had the opportunity to enter a competition where Steve Parish would be judging, so I entered and eagerly awaited the outcome. The phone call where I was notified that I had won a 2nd place was very exciting. I now proudly have hanging on my wall a framed certificate signed by Steve Parish for my place. In the last 2 weeks of 2006, I was notified by the International Association of Panoramic Photographers that the 6 photographs that I had entered into the 2006 Photo Contest had all been awarded prizes. How’s that for attracting more?!

7. BELIEVE IN YOURSELF – So that brings me to a most important and critical factor in attracting much more into your life for 2007. The belief that you have in your talent and abilities, and yourself in general. There were so many times in my life previous to finding my ‘Life’s Purpose’ where I doubted everything about myself. I had believed what ‘other’ people had said I should be and do not believing that what I wanted to be or do was acceptable, or able to be done. However, once I started to believe in me and followed my own path and the calling that was deep inside everything changed. I surrounded myself with people that were positive and supportive and I rewarded myself for the sometimes small and sometimes large steps I was making towards my destination. My confidence in my abilities grew and now I know that I made the best decision for my life.

Listen to your heart and your body. Take some time to sit quietly with yourself each day and ask yourself questions about your life. If you feel happy when you answer them you are going in the direction to reach your ‘Life’s Purpose.’ If the feeling is a negative one that feels uncomfortable that’s the wrong direction to go. And if you feel like you are running into hurdles and brick walls along life’s path then that is the Universe telling you that you are going in the wrong direction.I like the saying, “That which is meant to be in your life will be free to be so.”

Now go on, attract much more in 2007. If I can, you can!

Tracy Woolley is an inspired Australian Award Winning Landscape Photographer, from Nautilus Gallery, http://www.nautilusgallery.com, Mooloolaba, Queensland, Australia. Photographic Memory : How to Memorize Music

Article by Graham Howard

Part of the memory problem is being afraid of forgetting the piece and the humiliation that would follow.

Repeat…Repeat…Repeat

This is the most common method of memorizing music. The piece is repeated again and again so that eventually it is almost impossible to forget any part of it. The piece can be broken down in to smaller sections, with each section being mastered before moving on to the next one.

But you will find this method of remembering music very insecure and should be considered only as a fallback to some other memory method.

– – Hand Position – –

You might prefer to remember what your hands look like while playing. You may find this easier to do, but if the fingers slip, your memory has gone.

– – Analysis – –

The best method is analysis.

You should study the whole piece. What key does it start in? Where does it change key or change tempo? If there is a second theme, how does it compare with the first theme? Where are the repeat marks, pauses, or other notation? What dynamics are present and where?

You need to learn the circle of fifths and common cadences. These are essential, as are scales and arpeggios.

Memory by analysis should start on a small scale. When this has been mastered, larger sections can be tackled.

* * Memorizing without the piano * *

If you have an above average familiarity with notes and a good visual memory, you might be able to memorize away from the keyboard by looking at the score.

You should start by playing the piece away from the piano by tapping your fingers on a table. See if you can hear each note and chord as you play them. Can you remember which fingers to put down? If you come across any uncertain areas, you will need to go back to the piano and work on it.

– – Slow Practicing – –

Make sure you play the entire piece slowly.

If you play with a slow speed, this disrupts finger memories because your hands do not move as they are trained to and your ear does not hear quickly enough what it is anxious to hear. Your brain does all the work.

– – Photographic Memory – –

Only a small percentage of the population has a photographic memory. If you have this, you will surely know about it.- – Final Solution – –

You can also try memorizing large sections at a time.

Now work on the places where your memory breaks down. You should start just before the problem and play just beyond it so that the difficult phrase can easily be remembered and inserted into the flow of things.

There is a free piano course I have created for you below. It will give you a taster for piano lessons without you having to spend any money. I have given as much information, tips and techniques as possible.

Graham Howard is considered an expert in the piano industry. He has spent his whole life SURROUNDED by pianos. You can get “Learn How to Play Piano, Read Chords, Understand Rhythm and Read Music”, a free mini course by Graham Howard here: http://www.alltalents.co.uk/Free_Piano_Lessons.html

Photographic Memory : Good Digital Cameras

Article by Gordon Smith

What should you look for in a good digital camera?

Essentially a digital camera is a gadget utilized to capture pics without the usage of film. Dissimilar to the conventional camera, the digital camera does not depend on mechanical and chemical processes. It has a built in computer and records the images it captures in a electronic form.

Because the images that a digital camera captures are in electronic form, it is in a language acknowledged by computers. This language is known as pixels, small colored dots represented by ones and zeros that make up the image that you just took. Just like any regular camera, a digital camera is furnished with a series of lenses that target the light and generates the picture that you want to capture. The distinction here is that; a conventional camera focuses its light on a film while a digital camera focuses the light into a semiconductor device that electronically records the light. A built in computer now breaks the information into digital data.

An additional characteristic of the digital camera is that it contains a sensor that converts light into electrical charges. A charge coupled device or CCD is an image sensor that is found in a digital camera. Despite the fact that other low- end digital cameras use complementary metal oxide semiconductor(CMOS) as an image device, many engineers do not believe that the software can replace the CCD intended for higher- end digital cameras.

A collection of small diodes, the CCD gathers electrons when they are struck by photons or light particles. Every diode or photosite is sensitive to light, meaning that the brighter the light, the number of the electrons collected is larger. The cost of a digital camera nowadays has been depreciating, among the key causes for this is as a result of the introduction of CMOS image sensors. This is because CMOS sensors are less expensive and are simpler to produce than CCD sensors. A CCD and CMOS sensor functions the same way at first, by converting the light electrical charges into photosites. A digital camera works in such a way that millions of microscopic solar cells create a part of the entire photograph. Both CCD and CMOS perform the job with varying procedures. While shopping for good digital cameras, take note of these key features.

Image quality.

Find out the resolution of the camera. The greater the resolution, the more you will be able to enlarge your photo without the grainy or the out- of- focus effect that we all want to avoid.

Lens.

Select a digital camera having superior digital zoom. The digital zoom of the camera will let you take the photographs from a variety of distances.

Power.

Always choose rechargeable batteries, they will always come in handy, additionally you don’t waste as much money on the disposable ones.

Options.

To help you brag to pals how great a photographer you are. Or pick the one that gives options that best serve your way of life, so you won’t ever whine how you never get the right photographs.

Memory.

If you’re a photograph freak, make certain that you have adequate memory in your camera to take all the wacky, wild, and humorous photographs you can.

Computer Interface.

Always make sure that it is compatible with your Computer, laptop, palmtop or whatever your local picture printer software is, you don’t want to go running around the entire state or the country hunting for a computer that’s compatible with your digital camera.

Physical.

If you’re going to be taking it everywhere, decide a handy and portable digital camera that wont get in the way too often.

These include only the fundamental things you should to look for in good digital cameras when your thinking about purchasing one. Digital cameras are swiftly replacing all regular cameras on the market. With all its technology and convenience, the digital camera is truly the future of cameras.

Gord writes about Good Digital Cameras along with hundreds of other topics.

Photographic Memory : Developing Clairvoyance For Exploring Yourself

Article by The Silva Method

Clairvoyance is an all-embracing term for the capability to remain informed through means other than 5 physical senses. There are many ways for developing clairvoyance. This is an admitted fact that every person has an ability by birth which is unique and dissimilar from others. Some people remain unaware of their hidden magic throughout their lives and never realize that they have something special that others don’t have. On the other hand, there are many people who succeed to realize this fact and make use of their abilities to solve many problems. Clairvoyance has many levels and their realization depends on the intensity with which they are expressed. It’s better to break down clairvoyance to understand the way a person processes the information. Physical senses are strongly involved with these variations. All the five physical senses have strong extrasensory analogue. For developing clairvoyance, the primary modes such as clairsentience (clear thinking), clairaudience (clear hearing) and clairvoyance (clear seeing) need to be focused closely. Developing clairvoyance means developing another sense of “seeing things clearly” which is also known as second sight. It is in fact the ability to see the information with mind’s eye. This is just like projecting the information during eidetic or photographic memory. It can be stated that a person who is better in visualizing things photographically and remembering them possesses more accurate sense of clairvoyance. It doesn’t mean at all that the person who lacks the ability of visualizing things photographically cannot be clairvoyant. Developing clairvoyance needs practice and regular use. The second thing to focus is clairaudience i.e. to develop clairvoyance; one has to develop the ability to receive psychic information. But this time the auditory center is more involved instead of the visual cortex. The person who is relies more on remembering things audibly is more prone to develop better clairaudience. In this process, the same information is processed in a different way. This is due the fact that the same part of our brain is involved in filtering psychic senses as for the physical senses. You’ll clearly realize this fact when you start developing clairvoyance. When I was a youngster, my audible memory was remarkable and I had experienced many jiffies of clairaudience. During my teens, I started developing my photographic memory to improve my reading and learning ability. . Through regular practice, I realized that I was improving day by day and this practice made me a more visual person. I was wondering that it was so easy to develop clairvoyance and to bring further improvement; I have now focused my concentration on conceptualizing and visualizing through clairsentience.

The next step to develop clairvoyance is the development of clairsentience which is to get awareness about the physical things. Whole ideas, scenarios and concepts from remote locations and also from the past and future come to mind fully formed. It can be considered as a form of psychic learning and you can take it as an intermediate stage of developing clairvoyance. You can definitely become loser to clairsentience experience through greater practice.
