Exploring the Amazing Benefits of Brainwave Entrainment

Proto-consciousness together with the human brains are often interlinked as one entity by most people. Experts and physicists believe that the brain is powerful enough to influence everything in the world or even in the whole universe. Today, the term consciousness is a deep word that sparked many debates across the globe. In a smaller scale, however, the term consciousness usually defined as a person’s capacity to be aware of the things or happenings around him or her. A person with a deep consciousness level usually thinks that he or she is a part of the universe and every little thing that makes it up.

If you want to reach a certain level of the consciousness, your brain needs to have a massive overhaul. You can do this by reading thick books and tomes about the knowledge of the world and other things or engage in life-changing experiences and adventures. However, there is a simpler method that you can take and would definitely create positive changes for your life in no hassle. This method is popularly called brainwave entrainment or commonly known as brainwave synchronization. Basically, it is a method where the frequencies synchronize the processes of the brain so you can have a mind or mental thinking that is resilient enough to receive and deliver information. Sound waves create the frequencies and are received through the ears. The brain would process those frequencies simultaneously and it decodes the difference between the two frequencies. The final lash of frequency will circulate into the brain and be processed by its receptors. It is a cycle that goes on repeatedly.

How can a simple method help you attain consciousness? The effects of brainwave entrainment are awesome; business persons and leaders are also resorting to brainwave entrainment whenever they are stressed. The method also removes stress up to great extent and would allow you to see life in a more beautiful scale. Brainwave entrainment also uses binaural beats to deliver the frequencies. Insomniacs listen to binaural beats MP3 every night so they can have improved sleep. The method also helps the brain fire off helpful chemicals such as endorphins and improved neurotransmitters. The continuous exposure to brainwave entrainment would allow the receptors to adapt to the mental changes. In that way, the brain would synchronize its processes faster.

With a relaxed mind, you can be firm in making all decisions that are helpful in your everyday life. The method can also be used as stress relief especially during those busy days. Based on study, a stressed person cannot think well and any slight event may cause annoyance or anger to him or her. That’s why the brainwave entrainment method is ideal because it can cause the brain to release helpful chemicals such as endorphins and serotonins.

Once your brain is developed through the effective use of Brain entrainment method, you can now think, act, and work about the greater knowledge offered by the world. Remember that information and other facts would eventually pass through your mind easily and you will have a better personality development through this method. In turn, this process would lead to consciousness gradually and would turn you into a better person.

Brainwave Entrainment and Its Amazing Benefits

The brain is, indeed, a wonderful creation. It is capable of generating electrons and neutrons that could power up machines, conceive ideas, change institutions, cause massive influence and develop systems that can bring awareness to people. In fact, the brain can process up to ten million bits of information per second; unfortunately, humans are only aware of up to two thousand bits. If a human has access to all of the bits of information processed by the brain, creating universes and dimensions would be easy.

People are discovering many ways to enhance the capacities of their brains. Different mental exercises are presented online and offline, ranging from simple processes such as crosswords and visual tests. For many years, meditation played a vital role in the advancement of humankind. Generals meditate in the battlefield whenever enemies outflanked his men. Architects resort to meditation in order to find better ways to reduce project expenses. Simply put, meditation fine-tunes the brain so that information can be processed quicker and better.

An innovative method that clearly utilizes the power of meditation is brainwave entrainment. Many people also know this method as brainwave synchronization wherein the brain is trained to process more information and achieve peak performance. This can be done by listening to an audio CD with modified visuals meant to lower and standardize brainwaves. In that way, the person undergoing the method would be placed in a meditative state where brain functions well.

Brainwave entrainment uses binaural beats to assist the brain process. This synchronization commence when audio waves are introduced to the brain, stimulating the frequencies of the brain. Because the human brain bombards itself with many frequencies per day, direct stimulation would cause thought and ideas to appear clearer than ever. Binaural beats use sub-sonic sounds going through headphones. There are many types of binaural beats CDs available in different shops. These CDs range from sleep induction MP3 to other meditation support audio pieces. A person can also choose from four types of brainwaves, namely Beta, Alpha, Theta and Delta. Each brainwave has its own capability.

An obvious benefit offered by brainwave entrainment is peace of mind. With a relaxed mind, a person can be firm in making decisions that are helpful in everyday life. The method can also be used as stress relief; it is obvious that much information goes down the drain because of the stress caused by everyday life. A stressed person cannot think well and any slight event may cause annoyance or anger. The brainwave entrainment method would also cause the brain to release helpful chemicals such as endorphins and serotonins.

Many people choose to meditate in the Alpha state because it helps them focus more on their job and tasks. The meditation would cause great leaps of knowledge that would have permanent and useful effects for the concerned person.

Your Amazing Brain – Brain Training Therapy : Brain Training

Article by Kevin Rockwell

The truth is that nearly anything that can be said about your brain in an absolute sense is not true. This statement is true, not because we don’t know a lot about the brain, we do; and more is being learned about it every day. The statement is true because the brain is such a vast, intricate and interconnected system of systems and processes that anything we can say about must be qualified by, “…as far as we know today…” or “In one sense, it can be said…”

Your brain is composed of somewhere between 100 and 200 billion neurons! Any single neuron can have as many as 100 thousand connections! The number of permutation possible in the brain exceeds our best estimate for the number of elementary particles in the Universe! Everything you sense, the totality of your experience of the world and each other, all of the ways you discern and label one thing as distinguished from another, all of your assessments and judgments, our ideas, our concepts and beliefs, all of our emotionally infused signification of your relations, all of your inspirations and aspirations are the experience of the neurological activity within this specialized 3 to 4 pounds of tissue, floating within a sac of fluid in your head. Can you see why I think it is so amazing?

And yet most of the time, just like all of the mysterious miracles we are by which we are continuously surrounded and confronted, we are completely oblivious to what’s going on within our head that allows me, for instance, to be thinking about all this, typing it into the computer, editing as I go along, intermittently noticing the sunlight changing color as the breeze blows through the trees outside the window, wondering what I’ll be preparing for dinner.

It has often been said that your brain is actually three brains in one. Deep within your brain is the more primitive, “reptilian,” brain that automatically orients us toward the five Fs, feeding, fornicating, fleeing, fighting and freezing. This brain is pretty much hard-wired and functional at birth. It is nested within your second, “mammalian,” brain which is more relational and emotional. The functioning of this limbic brain is developed in the physical, face-to-face relationship with your primary care taker, usually, this is the child’s mother. We each learn how to read other’s emotions and intentions from very subtle cues in their voice tones and facial expressions.

The third brain covers and wraps around the lymbic brain and is called the neo-cortex. This brain allows you to recognize patterns, to create music and art and ideas, to speak and understand language, to reason, to reflect and, it seems, to be conscious of your consciousness. This brain is in development until a person is in their early twenties!

The pre-frontal cortex is being considered by some people to be a fourth brain.

Short Term Memory : The Amazing Things That Working Memory Can Do For You

Article by Sharon Bell

Did you know that a person is more likely to remember numerical figures if they are composed of only a few syllables? This is the reason why, pilots and radio operators read a number like 450 as four five zero instead of four hundred fifty. The chance that the fellow on the other end of the line will remember the number or code is higher than if the numerical figure is read using the more formal way.

What does it have to do with you? Well, if you are a businessman, you might rethink the way you price your goods or services. Your customers will be able to remember your prices more–thus, set aside money and consider buying your products more than those of your competitors–if your prices have only few syllables when being read.

This is a fine example of the working memory. This concept states that the human memory has a short-term and a long-term component. Your working memory represents your short-term capacity to store information. A strong working memory is valuable in your overall thinking capacity. Here are the various areas where a good working memory comes in handy.

Reading And Comprehension

Remember the IQ tests that you took all your days as a student? Your working memory was tirelessly at work with you untangling all the reasoning and cognitive tasks handed down by the examiner. Unlike long-term memory which serves largely as your brain’s archive, your working memory can coordinate all your mental assets to perform multiple tasks like reading and comprehending what you have just read.

Reading is never a simple mental task. In reality, reading involves a lot of other mental functions that enable you to comprehend what you are reading. From breaking the words into understandable elements to determining their specific order in a sentence, your brain’s working memory is performing complex tasks simultaneously in a lightning-fast pace. Without the short-term memory, these tasks will never be done and you will never understand what you have been reading.

Mathematics

The role that is being fulfilled by the brain’s working memory can not be overemphasized. This part of your thoughts is not only responsible for allowing you to speak, read, and write; it is also up and running whenever you are solving numerical problems. If you are doing rows and rows of addition or subtraction operations without the help of calculators, your short-term memory is the one that allows you to remember how to do the basic mathematical operations, it is also the mental component that stops you from adding or deducting a certain digit for more than once.

For the ordinary shopper who is in a tight budget, being able to keep tab of the total cost of the goods in the shopping cart is important. As for the road warrior, knowing when to refill the fuel tank during a coast-to-coast trip is important if he does not want to spend the night by the roadside. All these seemingly simple tasks are the end results of having good working memory.

For some experts, the short-term memory is utilizing the same system as that of your long-term retention. Others say that these to types of memories are totally different from but closely integrated with each other. Still, other scientists believe that short-term memory is an intricate group of subsystems and not just a single memory component. Whatever it is, having a powerful short-term memory or working memory is a boon to the way you work and live your life.

Come to think of it, the working memory is the standard on which one’s intelligence can be judged upon. Having problems with your working memory can put you in a tight spot. To enhance your memory, never put your brain on a downtime; keep reading and learning. Boost your overall brain power with products like Neurovar. For more details, visit http://Neurovar.com/.

Vitamins : Nutritional Supplements: The Amazing Vitamin C

The real facts about Vitamin C may surprise you. First of all what is Vitamin C? Vitamin C is a water soluble vitamin. Unlike the oil soluble vitamins such as A and E, Vitamin C cannot be stored by your body. Since Vitamin C is not stored by your body, we need to get it from our diet or from supplements.

But Can’t Our Bodies Just Make Vitamin C?

Great question! Most animals have the ability to make their own Vitamin C. And make it they do… lots of it. It is estimated that if we had the ability to make our own Vitamin C we would make between 3000 and 10,000 mg every day… and 3 to 4 times that amount if we were being stressed by infection.

Unfortunately, humans along with guinea pigs, fruit bats and gorillas are the only mammals that need to ingest our daily dose of Vitamin C. The only vitamin we humans have the ability to make is Vitamin D… and we need the sunshine to help us do that.

Some very exciting facts about Vitamin C have sprung up within the last few years. First off, Vitamin C along with Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10), have been called the most essential of the “essential nutrients.” That is, without an adequate supply of these two, you die. Maybe not today or tomorrow, but certainly years sooner than the folks with optimal levels of both in their bodies.

Arrrrr!!! Shiver Me Timbers!

Remember the stories about the sailors of old and the disease they contracted during long voyages called scurvy? Scurvy was nothing more than not having enough Vitamin C in their bodies. Without an adequate supply of Vitamin C, the blood vessels did not have enough collagen to repair themselves. Some of these sailors literally bled to death through cracks in their blood vessel walls.

Fortunately, in 1747 a Scottish doctor got a clue about Vitamin c and linked citrus fruits with a decreased incidence of Scurvy. Towards the end of that century, the Brits began sending along lime juice with their sailors on long voyages. Now you know why British sailors are called “limeys.”

Facts About Vitamin C and its Antioxidant Properties

If you’ve read the section of my site on the facts about Vitamin E, you’ve no doubt read about what an antioxidant does. If not we can review quickly.

The cells of your body are under a lot of stress… oxidative stress. Oxidative stress occurs when highly unstable molecules called free radicals roam freely throughout your body.

Free radicals are a by-product of not only the normal metabolic processes of your cells but also your environment… things such as air pollution, sun exposure, industrial chemical exposure, ozone, nitrous oxide (from auto exhaust), cigarette smoke, alcohol consumption and so on.

Free radicals damage cell membranes and DNA and can result in changes to your cells that cause life threatening chronic diseases down the road. When your cells are being damaged by these free radicals, we say your cells are experiencing oxidative stress… and one of the facts about Vitamin C is that it is an antioxidant and can significantly neutralize the free radicals and the damage to your cells that cause oxidative stress.

Facts about Vitamin C and Heart Disease

One of the facts about Vitamin C that we feel is most significant is the role Vitamin C plays in the production of collagen.

Collagen is a protein. It is the connective tissue that holds our bodies together and keeps us from falling apart. Collagen is found in your skin, bones, ligaments, tendons, liver, cartilage, bone marrow and blood vessels.

Collagen is essential for the repair of our bodies. Without collagen our bodies don’t heal. And without Vitamin C we don’t make collagen.

What Does Collagen Production Have to Do With Heart Disease?

Remember the facts about Vitamin C above and the sailors with scurvy? They weren’t getting any Vitamin C. So when their blood vessels cracked, no collagen was being produced to repair the cracks.

Why do your blood vessels crack in the first place? Well consider this. Your heart beats about 4000 times every hour. That’s 96,000 times a day and 35,040,000 times every year (yes that’s million)! The blood vessels of your heart are being squeezed and released that many times as well.

Imagine you were to run over a garden hose laying in your driveway that many times. Do you think it might soon develop some cracks?

Although your body has a difficult time repairing those cracks in the complete absence of Vitamin C (and hence scurvy), most folks in the developed world get just enough Vitamin C to keep scurvy at bay… but not much more.

Problem is, as this sub-optimal amount of Vitamin C in their body is repairing with collagen, it’s not quite enough. Your liver then determines that the repairs are not being made quick enough and sets about to produce a special form of LDL called lipoprotein-a.

Lipoprotein-a is very sticky and acts as a putty to fill in the cracks that the lack of collagen left behind. Great right? Leak stopped.

Well the leak is stopped yes, but being as sticky as it is, lipoprotein-a catches and glues down all the other LDL (bad cholesterol) that floats by. This action results in plaque build-up inside the vessel walls and can eventually close off these blood vessels… and we all know what that means!

Facts about Vitamin C and Cholesterol

Can Vitamin C lower cholesterol? A relationship has been shown experimentally between high levels of Vitamin C and low levels of cholesterol. An article appearing in the National Library of Medicine shows that Vitamin C provides the same mechanism for inhibiting the production of cholesterol as do cholesterol lowering statin drugs.

The American Heart Association also reported that Vitamin C lowered LDL cholesterol in children who were predisposed to high cholesterol.

The facts about Vitamin C also show that Vitamin C lowers cholesterol without the dangerous side effects of these statin drugs. Statin drugs have been shown to inhibit the production of another essential nutrient called Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10). Decreased levels of CoQ10 result in significant muscle myopathy (wasting away). And since the heart is a muscle, statin drugs have been linked to Congestive Heart Failure (CHF).

More Facts about Vitamin C

Vitamin C has been shown to lower blood pressure, reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s when taken with Vitamin E and cut your chances of having a stroke.

Why is that? Remember the facts about Vitamin C above as an antioxidant? Well, most researchers agree that Vitamin C’s powerful antioxidant properties are responsible. By neutralizing the cell damaging effects of those free radicals running around in your body, Vitamin C works to keep your cells healthy and free of damage. And if your cells are healthy, you are healthy!

Vitamin C is also known to protect the immune system. Vitamin C aids in the manufacture of white blood cells. White blood cells destroy viruses and bacteria.

Also remember the facts about Vitamin C as aiding in the manufacture of collagen? Well collagen being the connective tissue that holds our skin together, our skin is what keeps pathogens out in the first place.

Yeah, But I Drink My Glass of Orange Juice Everyday… Well Almost

What are the facts about Vitamin C concerning the amount you should take? Well who do you want to believe? The official U.S. Government RDA for Vitamin C is 60 to 90 mg. Some would argue that this level does nothing more than ward off scurvy. They would also argue that these levels do nothing to prevent chronic, long term, debilitating diseases.

An article in the American Journal for Clinical Nutrition reports on a study done on antioxidant vitamins and coronary heart disease risk. The study looked at 9 other studies which included participation by Harvard School of Public Health and Tel Aviv University, Tel Aviv, Israel.

Conclusions: “The results suggest a reduced incidence of major CHD (coronary heart disease) events at high supplemental vitamin C intakes.”

How high was the daily Vitamin C intake of the 293,172 patients during this ten year study? Above 700 mg!

Ok, But Is Vitamin C Safe?

In an article titled “Vitamins E and C Are Safe Across a Broad Range of Intakes” published in THE AMERICAN JOURNAL of CLINICAL NUTRITION, a large study concluded that Vitamin C supplements of up to 2000 mg per day were safe for most adults. Exceeding that limit could result in gastrointestinal upset or mild diarrhea.

You can learn much more than just the facts on Vitamin C at our content rich site called Health Supplements Advisor.
