The question “How to get over my ex girlfriend?” is a question asked by all straight men at least once in their lives and to the seeker of the answer, it can prove to be quite elusive. Your first break up of your first meaningful relationship is the most difficult to deal with, it is unlike any pain you ever felt before and it isn’t something you can get used to. You learn to deal with break ups a little better as you experience them more, but again, it isn’t something you can get used to.

They say that break ups are as traumatic as losing someone you love by death, but we have to put things in perspective, it is the pain that is on par with death and not the reality. Every day people have to deal with tragedies that can’t be undone no matter what they do. But in your case, no matter how painful the break up might have been, the fact remains that you haven’t lost anything that can’t be taken back.

I know for a fact that you can be happy with or without your ex girlfriend and I also know for a fact that you can fall in love again with someone new. We are designed in a way so that we forget things and this is a good thing for the most part. Imagine if you had a photographic memory of all the unpleasant things that has happened to you in your life. Could you ever forgive someone for a wrongdoing? Could you ever stop grieving for someone? We never completely forget about something, but time is like an anesthetic to our memory, it numbs all our memories down. So in order to continue being happy we keep making new memories with the people we love and when we stop making new experiences with someone in particular, that person slowly but surely becomes a dusty archive in our memory.

You have to understand that pain, happiness, sadness, hatred, and all range of emotions peak at some point. Chances are that your pain has peaked already and you are just looking for a soft landing. The best thing to do in your situation is of course to keep yourself occupied with something entertaining or maybe even productive. I know your mind is telling you to stay home and to be alone, but I promise you that you will feel so much better if you surround yourself with the people that care about you.

If you feel like taking a little chance, I would also advise you to start dating again. I don’t want you to look for a serious and long-term relationship. I just want you to have a little fun by meeting new people and to re-acquaintance yourself to the excitement of starting anew. For one night don’t think about your ex girlfriend and just imagine you are having a good time with a friend. This will help you look towards the future rather look back for a past that’s long gone.

Whatever you decide to do, just remember that you don’t have to commit to anything or anyone, and you no longer have to factor in your ex girlfriend to come to a decision. The end is the beginning of something new and with that knowledge you’ll never be lost.

Gaining weight has always been associated with eating junk food. There have been volumes of research on the fast food culture that has invaded every aspect of society and how humans who eat the stuff have become oblivious of what they are eating and what the processes that have been set in place to ensure that these burgers and fries come to your tray, in your stomach and out the door.

The information is right there plain as day, but do you notice something strange about those who are obese and know that the food is bad for them? They keep going back to the same type of food, they keep over eating and they seem to be unable to stop themselves. Which begs the question, is the food really that good? Have the people behind Burger King, KFC and McDonalds created a burger so good or a piece of chicken wing that is simply so irresistible that it makes those who are unhealthy go back to the very source of their woe and spiral down into a collective degenerative pile of helpless individuals? The answer to this of course is no. Nothing can be that good, not unless these fast food companies have laced their foods with drugs. I would akin the same effects of overeating to the effects of a drug like heroin.

We as people like to eat; it is within us to enjoy the process of eating because it serves a biological purpose and keeps us alive. We are happy when our stomachs are full. However, the food and beverage industry has decided to up the ante with gastronomical creations and artistic incarnations of food that makes us crave for them even more. It is a concept similar to the creation of drugs. There is no need for them, they do not serve any benefit to our physical well-being, yet some end up addicted to them. Without a measure of control, we can be just as addicted to fast foods as drug addicts are to drugs. So what turns us into fast food (or even normal, conventional food) junkies?

When we overeat, our bodies go into a cyclic pattern of yearning, where we associate the feel-good feeling of eating with the particular type of food we enjoy, and we end up inadvertently making it a part of our needs system. It is the same for heroin; the brain makes it a need after it associates the feeling of euphoria with the taking of heroin. Do it often enough and we trick our mind into believing that it is part of the biological process.

Eat a lot and do it often enough and we make ourselves and our subconscious mind believe that is essential to our emotional and psychical survival. This is where withdrawal symptoms come from and this is where we see the true root of addiction, whether it is over eating, smoking or even drugs. It lies in the mind because it has decided that to survive, we need to do these things.

This is why anything and almost anything can be an addiction if we believe in it. Like alcoholism or even conditions like obsessive-compulsive behaviour – where even the small nuances that are not done to one

As a child, our mental faculties of logical thought and critical thinking are not yet fully developed, this is why we still need the guidance of our parents to instil ideas of rationale thought into us and explain events into the specifics of logic. As a child, we think in the arena of raw emotions and associations, which means that whatever happens, it is translated into a base emotion and immediately associated.

In Johnny’s case, what happened was that the great fear and terror that he experienced as a child near the water was encapsulated into his subconscious mind with subliminal emotional thinking. This means that the mind would immediate associated water with the event and thus the physical incarnations of cold sweat, discomfort, panic attacks and even headaches would appear out of nowhere.

This is how powerful the mind’s own internal defence mechanism can be and sometime it can even be dangerous. Imagine if you will if Johnny was playfully thrown into the water and he seizes up and drowns. The subliminal message that is in his subconscious needs to be erased and this can only be done with technology that fights fire with fire.
